Day 11: Awesome kids

Today was a relaxing day...which I didn't think it would be since we have our showing for the parents tomorrow. We didn't work on our scenes at all. Instead we worked on our Shakespeare song parody. Which is going to be a medley of Bohemian Rhapsody, Jar of Hearts, and Don't Stop Believin'. So it should be hilarious and all about Shakespeare. I heard the Jar of Hearts one today and it was brilliant, I can't wait for all of us to put them together to create the medley.

We hung out a lot today which was great because it gave me a chance for the kids to really like me and get to know me more. Yesterday I was being discouraged because some of them were being disrespectful but today that all changed and we were buddies. It was really fun. So the close of this camp tomorrow will be exciting but sad at the same time. I will see these kids later this summer, I'm sure, but I am not planning on working with high schoolers again this summer.

At the end of the day we went outside and "played". Some people were setting up for a music thing for that evening, so they were playing music over the speakers. So we danced together and had fun, hence the pictures above. I think we all really bonded today, which is what I really love about camps/classes like this.
