Day 34

Today I went on a tour inside the State Theatre on Hennepin Ave. It's a gorgeous theatre from the 1920s that has a lot of history. Some including becoming a church for the Jesus Christ People, being restored afterword, and fighting for the building to not be knocked down and become a shopping/food center.

It is a theatre that is up to date with it's technological equipment. So it has shows come and perform on it. It does have some touring Broadway shows perform on it but not that many because of it's size. The Orpheum Theatre just down the street is the one that houses the majority of the Broadway shows. Many shows start here and go to Broadway like The Lion King. It started in Minneapolis, and worked out its kinks before it went to New York.

I took a lot of pictures of the Theatre...so I will try not to post all of them. Just a lot of my favorites. Enjoy!
